Shakeology Protien Peanut Butter Bites

I absolutely love these Peanut Butter Bites! It took me about 5 minutes to whip up a batch! 
Use as pre-workout snack or to satisfy your PB craving, or to replace your addiction to protein bars with an all-natural, low sugar, homemade option. And kids love them too!
Recipe
Mix all ingredients in large bowl:
1. 1 cup Just Great Stuff powdered PB (or PB2. Both avail at Amazon.com)
2. 1/2 cup all-natural Peanut Butter
3. 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
4. 6 packets Stevia
5. 1 scoop superfood Vanilla Shakeology
6. 1 cup dry oatmeal
Mix well. Form into golf-ball sized bites. Freeze for 1-2 hrs & keep frozen. When you want one, let it stand for 30 seconds to thaw a little. Makes ~12-15. They're ~80-100 calories each & ~8g protein.

First Week on Shakeology




I took the plunge and decided to try Shakeology after becoming a Beach Body Coach. I'm not going to lie, I was a huge skeptic after having poor experiences with meal replacement shakes in the past.

First things first, lets discuss as to why I am even considering meal replacement shakes. Shouldn't I be consuming foods for my nutrition? Yes, most definitely. As a mom of two children under two, I found myself frequently skipping meals and/or sabotaging my day with major impulsive binge sessions. Most of the time my consumption was crackers because after getting rid of all the food I liked to snack on, crackers was the only 'snacky' type food that my toddler eats.

Reason number two for meal replacement shakes - I hate fruit and I mean despise it. Those of you that know me personally, think I'm crazy. At some point in my life, I developed a major food aversion to fruit and probably need extensive therapy or hypnosis to get over it.

Third and final reason is that my family of 4 is living with my parents in their basement while we have a home built. A full kitchen is not readily accessible and quite frankly a pain in the butt to access with having two small children. I need a meal that is quick and easy. 

Since T25 was on sale, I decided to purchase a challenge pack. This was a great chance to get the workout program, Shakeology and sign up as a coach for only $180. On accident I ordered vanilla instead of chocolate. To my surprise, it tasted like a piece of white cake - one of my absolute favorite sweet foods. I have been having it for lunch each day and it has eliminated my sugar cravings since I feel like I'm having something "sweet" for lunch. Almond milk seems to be a popular choice to mix with, but so far I have just done regular skim or 2% milk. In a week I have lost 2.4 lbs and I truly believe it is because my hunger is under control and I'm finally fueling my body correctly.It's seriously impressive the nutrients that are packed into this shake!

After doing 6 weeks of intense working out - Chalean Extreme and Turbo Fire, I am excited to see my weight loss journey continue with the help of Shakeology!
